Samsung Electronics has made an exciting announcement, revealing its intention to launch the Samsung Game Portal, a gaming-focused online store, on Samsung.com.
Samsung’s Gaming Portal
The launch will take place in over 30 countries worldwide, beginning at the end of June in the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, and Brazil.
The Game Portal is a comprehensive online store designed specifically for gamers, providing increased convenience for browsing and purchasing a wide range of gaming products. Smartphones, TVs, gaming monitors, and high-performance SSDs are all available to gamers in one location.
Furthermore, the portal will offer gamers a variety of tailored gaming content that is perfectly aligned with their preferences and experiences.
Accenture, a leading global professional services firm, conducted a fascinating gaming study in 2021. According to the study, half of the gaming population is cross-platform gamers who play on multiple devices.
These gamers spend an average of 16 hours per week playing games, 8 hours per week watching gaming-related videos, and 6 hours per week participating in gaming communities.
In response to these changing trends, Samsung created the Game Portal, which provides a wide range of content. Users can find gaming product information, domestic and international expert reviews, enticing product offers and benefits, helpful gameplay tips, and the most recent gaming news.
Evelyn Kim, Executive Vice President of the D2C Center at Samsung Electronics, stated, “Gaming has become an integral part of consumers’ lifestyles, transcending mere entertainment, particularly for Millennials and Gen Z.
We are committed to delivering superior gaming experiences to our customers, from the moment of purchase to utilization, by providing an enjoyable and seamless environment for acquiring gaming-related products.”
Customers can expect to find the Galaxy S23 Ultra, a smartphone optimized for mobile gaming with the high-performance Snapdragon® 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform for Galaxy and a powerful 5000mAh battery, among the notable products available on the portal.
Furthermore, the Neo QLED TV supports cloud gaming without the need for a separate console via the Samsung Gaming Hub.
The Odyssey OLED G9 monitor has a remarkable 49-inch curved OLED screen for an immersive gaming experience.
Furthermore, the 990 PRO SSD has sequential read and write speeds of up to 7,450 and 6,900MB/s, respectively, resulting in faster loading times for PlayStation and DirectStorage PC games.
To commemorate the Game Portal’s launch, Samsung is offering discounts on gaming device bundles, as well as regional purchasing incentives centered on the recently released Odyssey gaming monitor and Neo QLED 8K products.
The gaming industry holds great promise as an industry that is still growing rapidly. Samsung recognizes this trend and has been working hard to strengthen its position in the gaming industry through product and service improvements. The launch of the Samsung Game Portal is a significant step toward further growth and success.
