The Pakistan Sports Board PSB has given the green light for the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers to be played in Islamabad at Jinnah Stadium.
Jinnah Stadium will serve as a location for the forthcoming qualifiers after the Pakistan Football Federation’s Normalisation Committee received a favourable response from the Pakistan Sports Board. The board has approved playing Cambodia in a World Cup 2026 qualifier at Islamabad’s Jinnah Stadium.
PSB is getting ready
The Normalisation Committee has been requested to check out Jinnah Stadium on the 17th of August to make sure it’s up to snuff. Punjab Stadium has received verbal support from the Punjab Sports Board, and a formal letter of support will be submitted soon.
The normalisation committee must complete a crucial assignment by August 18th, providing the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) with a comprehensive venue report regarding the qualifiers. Members of the AFC will visit the site once it has been chosen to evaluate its suitability.
On October 17th, Pakistan will host Cambodia in a World Cup qualifying match that will be very significant for the country. On October 12th, Pakistan and Cambodia will meet in Cambodia for FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifying.
