Supernet Limited (Supernet) announced today that they have been awarded a new project for about Rs. 250 million as part of a long-term program given in 2021 by a large Pakistani customer, in collaboration with their Australian technology partner Avara Technologies Pty. Ltd. (Avara)
Phase 3 of the program for the provision of multiservice multiplexers and associated operations, maintenance, warranty, and support services is now underway, with an estimated cost of Rs. 250 million.
The concept entails the development of a repair facility in Pakistan as well as the transfer of knowledge through an extensive training program that will enable local engineers and technicians to correct issues throughout the equipment’s lifecycle.
The DynaFlex product series from Avara is a versatile, full-featured access multiplexer with robust cross-connect and safety features. The DynaFlex platform is an excellent solution for conveying mission-critical TDM services through PDH, SDH, Ethernet, or MPLS-TP packet-based interfaces since it can handle a wide range of interfaces such as POTS, SCADA, Ethernet, Serial Data, and Tele-Protection.
DynaFlex offers a modular selection of hot-pluggable channel cards to support a variety of physical interfaces.
Despite supply chain and logistics issues caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, Supernet and Avara successfully delivered the first batch of DynaFlex multiplexers under Phase 1 of the program on time in 2021.
Phase 2 is now being implemented, with Phase 3 (which was just awarded) projected to be completed by the end of 2022.
Supernet’s Head of BU, Telecoms & Defense, Ali Akhtar, and CEO Avara, Lasha Aponso, jointly stated, “This is a major triumph for us right at the start of 2022, and we are thrilled to have been awarded this new project. It reaffirms the trust and satisfaction of the customers in our products and services. On the back of this victory, we’re charging full steam ahead with our plans to expand business in Pakistan.”
