Porsche is ready to take another giant step into the EV market after successfully launching the all-electric Taycan.
As part of its plans to accelerate its electric transition, the German automaker plans to launch the Panamera EV, a full-size luxury car.
They debuted the all-electric Taycan in 2019, and the response has been overwhelmingly positive. And sold over 300,000 vehicles in 2021, with the Taycan accounting for 41,296 of those.

On the heels of its success, Porsche is accelerating its EV strategy. Porsche’s goal is for electric vehicles (including hybrids) to account for 50% of vehicle sales by 2025.
However, by 2030, the automaker hopes that electric vehicles will account for 80% of total new vehicle sales.
they intends to achieve its goal by introducing several new electric models, including the beloved Macan, the company’s second best-selling vehicle.
It is expected to begin production of the Macan EV before the end of 2023, according to a recent report.
More importantly, the automaker intends to produce the electric Macan at the same rate as its gas-powered counterpart, which is currently over 80,000 units per year.
