According to sources who spoke with a news channel on Friday, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and Cricket Australia (CA) planning to hold a T10 league in the future.
PCB and Cricket Australia Eyes on Organizing T10 League
The reports claim that Zaka Ashraf, the chairman of the PCB Management Committee, will travel to Australia to talk with representatives of Cricket Australia about the plan.
Furthermore, the boards will investigate the potential of working together to run the T10 league in the future.
However, Zaka Ashraf is leaving for Australia today, December 22.
Chairman PCB received an invitation from Cricket Australia to attend the Boxing Day Test in Melbourne, which begins on December 26.
Additionally, he will meet with Cricket Australia’s administrators. They will talk about the potential for age-group cricket series and exchange programs.
MoU Signed
An agreement to jointly start a T10 league inked in October by PCB and Middlesex County Cricket Club.
Subject to conceptions, business plans, financial predictions, and management structure that are mutually agreed upon, both sides will be equal equity partners in this league.
It should mention that since its launch in December 2017, T10 Leagues have spread over the globe.
The competition takes place in Abu Dhabi each year.
In July of this year, Zimbabwe also introduced the Zim Afro T10, their own T10 league.
August 2023 saw the US Masters T10 League, an American-based competition with former international players.
Sri Lanka Scheduled To Stage Its Own T10 League
Additionally, Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) scheduled to stage its own T10 league.
According to earlier reports in Indian media, the BCCI is thinking of starting a T10 format cricket tournament, which might start in October or September of the next year.
It stated that a plan for the prospective league is being worked on by BCCI secretary Jay Shay.
