Syed Aminul Haque, the federal minister of information technology and telecommunications, announced today that the country’s largest cities will be the first to use 5G technology.
Today, Federal Minister Syed Aminul Haque met with a group headed by Mikhail Gerchuk, CEO of Etisalat International.
PTCL & Ufone CEO Hatem Bamatraf, Secretary IT Mohsin Mushtaq Chandna, Etisalat Pakistan CEO Abdulrahim Abdulla Abdulrahim Al Nooryani, and Group Chief Regulatory Officer Naveed Khalid Butt were also present.
Before moving on to bigger and better choices, 4G technology coverage and expansion across the nation, according to Aminul Haque, is the government’s primary goal.
The federal minister cited the Digital Pakistan goal and elaborated on Pakistan’s background in digital connectivity when he remarked that the deployment of 5G technology would determine the country’s technological future.
No one, according to the minister, wants Pakistan to fall behind in the battle for global technical dominance, so businesses and other interested parties should start making plans to foster inclusive, sustainable technological growth for Pakistan’s long-term potential and prosperity.
Aminul Haque also let the team know that the ministry was offering all necessary assistance to any mobile company.
The federal minister urged all telecom businesses to contribute to introducing advanced technologies to Pakistan in order to emphasize the significance of the sector’s long-term growth.
Given the foregoing, the IT minister gave the group the reassurance that top-level efforts were being made to make 5G more business-friendly.
Before nationwide deployment, 5G experiments would begin at specific locations in key cities, he noted.
Federal Minister Aminul Haque received praise from the Etisalat delegation for the government’s initiatives to enhance telecom services in Pakistan.
The CEO of e& International, Mikhail Gerchuk, highlighted the importance of information technology and telecommunications to the nation’s overall economic development and declared that the business is prepared to make investments in a range of related fields.
