Winning the Trae AI IDE: Zero Limits Hackathon was an unforgettable achievement. Competing against 8,804 participants and 879 teams, our PathFinders Team secured 1st place among 123 AI projects. This victory was the result of relentless effort, collaboration, and a shared vision to build something impactful in just 48 hours. The journey was challenging, but the outcome was beyond rewarding.
The Birth of Access Jobs
Our winning project, Access Jobs, is an AI-powered job recommendation system. It leverages machine learning and explainable AI to match job seekers with ideal opportunities. The idea stemmed from the need to simplify job hunting by providing personalized, bias-free recommendations. We aimed to bridge the gap between talent and employers, ensuring efficiency and fairness in the hiring process.
Assembling the Dream Team
Great ideas need great execution. I was fortunate to collaborate with Aaryab Panta (Nepal), Hammad Zaheer (Pakistan), and Monching Desierto (Philippines). Despite being an international remote team, we worked seamlessly through structured planning, daily standups, and constant communication. Each member brought unique skills coding, AI modeling, and UI/UX making our project robust and polished before submission.
The Power of Trae AI IDE
Our development was powered by Trae AI IDE, a cutting-edge platform revolutionizing AI programming. With features like AI Q&A support, code auto-completion, and agent-based AI, Trae accelerated our workflow. It helped us debug, optimize, and refine Access Jobs efficiently. The platform’s intuitive design allowed us to focus on innovation rather than technical roadblocks.

The Hackathon Journey
The 48-hour sprint was intense. We divided tasks, set milestones, and maintained a steady pace. Challenges arose integration issues, model fine-tuning but teamwork kept us on track. By the deadline, we had a fully functional prototype with a user-friendly interface, AI-driven recommendations, and explainable insights. Submitting on time was a relief, but the real test was awaiting the results.
The Thrilling Victory Announcement
After 30 days of anticipation, the winners were announced in a live stream hosted by Joanna Slupczewska (lablab.ai) with guest speaker Gary Qi (Trae). Hearing “PathFinders Team – 1st Place” was surreal. Gary Qi praised our project’s innovation and execution, validating our hard work. Celebrating this win with my teammates was a moment of immense pride and joy.
Gratitude and Acknowledgments
This victory wouldn’t have been possible without lablab.ai and NativelyAI for organizing the hackathon. Mentors and judges provided invaluable feedback, while Trae’s platform empowered our development. A special thanks to my teammates their dedication made this win possible. Also, congratulations to Muhammad Haris Ahsan for securing 2nd place, proving the high caliber of participants.
The Future of AI-Driven Development
This experience reinforced how AI is reshaping software development. Tools like Trae AI IDE enable faster, smarter coding, while global collaboration breaks geographical barriers. Our success with Access Jobs proves that with the right idea, team, and technology, anything is possible. The future holds endless opportunities for AI innovation, and we’re excited to keep pushing boundaries.
