Pakistan’s willingness to improve its bilateral ties with Germany in the fields of commerce, investment, climate change, and renewable energy was voiced by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday.
On the fringes of the COP-27 Summit in Sharm Al Sheikh, the prime minister had a meeting with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. Both parties evaluated their bilateral relationship and explored ways to expand their collaboration across several industries.
The premier praised Germany’s support for GSP Plus status in the EU and characterized it as advantageous for both nations.
While emphasizing the importance of information exchange between the two nations, the prime minister said that both should work together to give young people chances in a variety of fields. He also valued the technical training assistance that Germany had given to Pakistan over a number of years.
In order to shed light on the climate-related calamity in Pakistan, the prime minister stated that despite its relatively little contribution to greenhouse gas emissions, Pakistan is nonetheless suffering greatly from natural disasters brought on by climate change.
