Recently, Pakistan faced unprovoked firing from Afghan Taliban along the border in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa regions. In response, Pakistan launched Operation Ghazab‑ul‑Haq. The operation aimed to neutralize hostile positions and secure the border. Pakistani security sources reported multiple clashes, and the operation was described as a strategic counter-offensive to protect civilians and maintain territorial integrity.

Destruction of Taliban Posts

During the operation, Pakistani soldiers destroyed 27 Afghan Taliban posts. These posts included strategic positions, checkpoints, and small bases reportedly used for cross-border attacks. Officials emphasized that the operation was precise and targeted to minimize civilian impact while neutralizing Taliban strongholds along the border.

Capturing Posts and Raising the Flag

After successfully destroying or capturing several Taliban posts, Pakistani soldiers raised the national flag on key positions. This symbolic act represented control over captured areas and Pakistan’s determination to secure its borders. Security sources confirmed that raising the flag boosted troop morale and demonstrated authority in previously contested zones.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government Support

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government publicly supported the operation. Provincial leaders highlighted that protecting civilians and maintaining border security were top priorities. Officials stated that Pakistan’s actions were defensive, emphasizing the importance of national sovereignty and border management in sensitive regions like Chitral, Khyber, Mohmand, and Bajaur.

Strategic and Regional Implications

Raising the flag on captured Taliban posts has both symbolic and strategic significance. It reinforces Pakistan’s border control, sends a message to insurgents, and strengthens national morale. Analysts suggest that while these actions assert Pakistan’s military presence, continued dialogue and border coordination with Afghanistan are necessary to prevent future conflicts and maintain regional stability.
