ISLAMABAD, May 15, 2025 – Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) has entered into a tripartite agreement with the Government of Sindh and SZABIST ZABTech to establish a state-of-the-art Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Skill Development Center at the Youth Center in Kashmore.
Agreement Signing Ceremony
A formal signing ceremony was held at OGDCL’s Head Office in Islamabad, with Member of National Assembly (NA-191) Mr. Ali Jan Mazari attending as the Chief Guest. The agreement was signed by:
- Mr. Zia Salahuddin, Executive Director (Services), OGDCL
- Ms. Waheeda Mahesar, Executive Director, SZABIST ZABTech
- Mr. Sher Zaman Khan, Deputy Commissioner, Kashmore
Key Features of the Initiative
As part of this collaboration, OGDCL will fund the establishment of modern TVET qualification labs, converting the Youth Center Kashmore into a fully operational SZABIST TVET Institute. The facility will provide:
- Competency-Based Training
- Certifications and accreditations from state-recognized bodies
- Free-of-cost training for marginalized youth in the region
The program aims to train 2,400 students over five years, equipping them with market-relevant skills to foster sustainable livelihoods and self-reliance.
