NITB, the National Information Technology Board, has created a new E-office web version.
Details indicate that NITB has added sophisticated capabilities to the new web version, such as the ability to digitally sign notes and documents, voice-based input for notes, support for content in the urdu language while noting and documenting, and an executive dashboard for senior management.
Additional improvements include a user-based chat feature, a group view of notes with color-coding depending on designations, an improved search function, an organization-based QR code, application runtime activities, and a thorough reporting feature.
All government departments currently use desktop versions that have been delivered by NITB. Since 2007, federal ministries, divisions, and departments have had access to the E-office services.
The e-office application was created with the intention of introducing e-governance, improving government operations’ efficiency and effectiveness, increasing accountability & transparency, and improving citizens’ access to public services.
