Pakistan’s digital identity system has entered a new chapter as NADRA adds a powerful update to the Pak ID app. The Verification History feature brings clarity, control, and peace of mind, helping citizens understand how their identity data is used in daily digital interactions nationwide.
Feature Overview and Availability
This new feature, available in the Pak ID app version 5.4.2, focuses on transparency. It allows users to view complete records of identity checks, giving ordinary people visibility that was once limited to institutions and backend systems only across Pakistan, securely and clearly today.
How Verification History Works
Through a simple Verification History tab in the app menu, citizens can see where their CNIC or documents were verified. This includes checks conducted via QR codes, fingerprints, facial recognition, and direct CNIC number searches by public offices, banks, services, and platforms nationwide, safely and transparently, anytime.
Greater Control for Citizens
NADRA officials say the goal is to give people more control over their digital identity. Instead of guessing who accessed their data, users can now review verification activity, helping them feel informed, confident, and protected in an increasingly digital Pakistan society, economy, future, services, and systems.
