To assist overseas Pakistanis who encounter difficulties physically traveling to the closest Pakistani mission abroad, the user-friendly digital Power of Attorney (PoA) service has been introduced.

Six-Step Online Process
Through a six-step online process, Pakistani diaspora holders of a valid Pakistan Origin Card (POC), CNIC, or National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP) can now empower any person in Pakistan.
In order to begin the digital power of attorney application process, candidates need to meet specific requirements, one of which is being a Pakistani living abroad.
Valid identity documents are also necessary; these include the CNIC/NICOP/POC for the executor(s), witnesses, and attorney.
Additionally, a working email address, phone number, and mailing address outside of Pakistan required.
Moreover, the best four fingers of the executor(s) and two witnesses serve as biometric data.
An online credit or debit card fee payment is also necessary.
A scanned copy of the original Power of Attorney, complete with signatures, thumb impressions, and an executant’s photo attached, is also required of applicants.
However, it is imperative that applicants accurately provide the attorney and witnesses’ details.
Documents Attestation
After receiving attestation from their nation’s State Department or Ministry of Foreign Affairs, foreigners are advised to physically visit the relevant Pakistani Mission Abroad for the attestation of a power of attorney.
During the Digital Power of Attorney application process, the Executor(s) are responsible for choosing their designated Pakistan Foreign Mission (Embassy, High Commission, or Consulate).
However, if this isn’t done, the application might be routed incorrectly and rejected.
The digital Power of Attorney service offered by NADRA is a progressive response to the changing requirements of Pakistanis living abroad, guaranteeing a more user-friendly and effective legal system.
