The Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has unveiled a special traffic diversion plan for August 13–14, 2025, in connection with Ma’rakah-e-Haq commemorations. Key roads, including Srinagar Highway from Zero Point to Jinnah Square, will remain fully closed. Heavy traffic entry into Islamabad will also be restricted from 12:00 p.m. on August 13 until 3:00 a.m. on August 14.
Road Closures and Alternate Routes
Murree Road via Shakarparian Road, Chand Tara Chowk, and Garden Avenue I-8 will be closed, along with I-8 Garden Bridge and G-7 Loop. Motorists from the Motorway can use Srinagar Highway, Murree, and Bhara Kahu via Peshawar Mor, 9th Avenue, and Jinnah Avenue. Traffic from Zero Point can divert towards Suharwardy Road, Aabpara, and Serena Hotel.
Routes for Rawalpindi-Bound Traffic
Vehicles traveling from Murree and Bhara Kahu to Rawalpindi should use Korang Road, Bani Gala, Park Road, and Faizabad. Those coming from Murree Jinnah Square can take Kashmir Chowk, Club Road, and Faizabad. Traffic from Kashmir Chowk may use Suharwardy Road, Aabpara Chowk, and Zero Point as alternate routes.
