The Islamabad High Court Bar Association (IHCBA) has officially launched a health card scheme for registered lawyers and their families. The initiative provides financial support and access to quality medical treatment for lawyers who face long working hours and professional stress.
Eligibility Criteria
The scheme is open to all registered IHCBA lawyers. It also includes spouses, children, and parents of eligible lawyers. The health card covers major illnesses and treatments at selected hospitals in Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
Coverage and Benefits
Beneficiaries can receive medical treatment up to PKR 1 million. The card covers hospitalization, surgeries, and emergency care in approved hospitals. Lawyers and their families can access healthcare services without worrying about costs.
Implementation and Issuance Date
Health card issuance will begin on 10 February 2026. Lawyers and their family members can register and collect cards from IHCBA offices. The scheme is closely monitored to ensure smooth access to healthcare services.
Leadership and Support
The initiative is led by IHCBA President Syed Wajid Gilani and Secretary Chaudhry Manzoor Jajja. Federal Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar has provided support. Their combined efforts ensure lawyers receive this benefit promptly.
