According to a financial report, Interloop Limited, the largest textile firm in Pakistan, has started a master project to scale up the entire capacity for clothing production with a capital investment of $100 million.
The construction of a high-tech, totally vertically integrated apparel manufacturing complex that will begin operations in Q2 2023 at the Interloop Apparel Park in Faisalabad with a daily capacity of 50 tonnes for knitting and dyeing and a monthly output of more than 3 million garments has already begun.
22 million garments may be produced annually by Interloop Apparel.
For future business expansion and to satisfy the increasing client needs, the firm also plans to build Hosiery Plant VI, which is expected to go into operation in 2023–2024.
795 million pairs of socks may be produced yearly via Interloop. Its production facilities, which are dispersed throughout Pakistan, are furnished with the most recent knitting and dying machinery from Italy and processing equipment from Spain. The business is in the midst of increasing its capacity in Pakistan to 7,502 knitting machines.
In order to support all business categories of Interloop Limited and increase speed to market, the firm also plans to build an additional internal capacity of 5.5 tonnes per day, which comprises 3.1 tonnes per day of elastomeric yarns and a daily capacity of 2.0 tonnes for filament yarn dyeing.
Due to the emergence of new business prospects, the company generated its highest-ever profit in the previous financial year of more than Rs. 12.3 billion.
