The Greenville County Coroner’s Office reported two people died. The crash happened before 3:45 on Sunday morning.
The crash occurred on Augusta Road and Princeton Highway. The South Carolina Highway Patrol and the coroner’s office went to the scene. The Highway Patrol said a Ford F-150 was going south. It crossed the road and hit a Honda Odyssey van.

The van was driving north. Two people in the crash died at the scene. The coroner confirmed one person was a woman. The coroner has not shared names yet. An autopsy will happen on Monday.
The crash is still being investigated. The authorities are working on finding out more details.
Ellis and Arterburn Battle for Greenville Coroner Nomination
Mike Ellis and Dale Arterburn both want to be Greenville County Coroner. They aim to be the Republican candidate in November. Ellis has worked for the Coroner’s Office for 28 years. Ellis emphasizes his passion for the job. He says he has been part of every type of scene. He believes making a good impression is crucial. Ellis thinks it’s important to support families during tough times.
Dale Arterburn also has 28 years of experience. He worked with the Greer Police for 22 years. He has handled many death investigations. Arterburn says he has the energy to continue serving. He plans to launch an educational program if elected. He wants to work with schools to prevent deaths.
Arterburn also wants to address staffing issues. He hopes to give his staff more time off. He wants to add a chaplain division to support mental health. He believes in maintaining strong relationships with law enforcement and the community.
Both candidates are asking voters to support them. Early voting has started. The primary election is on June 11th.
