Iqbal Day
Furthermore, it should be noted that just last week, the federal government declared a public holiday in honor of the 146th birthday of the nation’s revered poet and philosopher, Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal.
However, the November 9 public holiday had been suspended for several years before former Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif decided to reinstate it last year.
