A guy has been arrested by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) for blackmailing a girl on social media. The man was arrested by the FIA Cybercrime wing after the girl’s father filed a complaint.
The accused used social media to seduce the girl and form a relationship with her.
During that time, he took vulnerable images of the girl and then began blackmailing her and threatening to post them on social media.
After the accused amassed millions from the girl’s parents, the FIA was contacted. During a raid at his apartment in one of Lahore’s posh neighborhoods, a team from the Cyber Crime Wing tracked out the suspect and apprehended him.
A mobile phone with questionable information was also discovered during the operation. He has also been charged with blackmailing and extortion, and an investigation is proceeding.
