According to the Ruet-i-Hilal Research Council (RHRC), Pakistan will mark Eid-ul-Fitr on Saturday, April 22, 2023.
The committee meeting is scheduled for Thursday, April 20, when the Shawwal moon will be visible, according to the secretary-general of the council, Khalid Ijaz Mufti. There are very little odds of viewing the moon that evening.
Eid-ul-Fitr Moon Observation
Eid-ul-Fitr will be observed on Friday, April 21 if the moon is visible on Thursday. According to Ijaz Mufti, the celebration of Eid will take place on April 22 after a 30-day fast during the holy month of Ramadan.
The moon will be born on Thursday, April 20, at 9:13 a.m. Pakistan time, the council predicts. Furthermore, the Ijaz Mufti proclaimed that any claims of seeing a crescent moon on April 20, 2023, would be untrue.
Ramadan, the holy month during which Muslims fast from sunrise to sunset, comes to a close on Eid. Traditionally, the occasion has been marked by prayers, family get-togethers, and feasts.
The lunar crescent, which signals the start of the Islamic month of Shawwal, determines the precise day of Eid.
