A big problem with Windows computers happened because of CrowdStrike’s software. It wasn’t a hacker trying to attack, said the Information Technologies and Communication Authority of Türkiye. CrowdStrike said their Falcon Sensor software made Windows stop working.
Microsoft is working to fix the problem. They want to make their programs work better. Programs like PowerBI, Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft 365 admin center didn’t work right because of this.
Planes, hospitals, and TV stations had trouble. A bad update made CrowdStrike software crash Windows computers and show a scary blue screen.
Michelle McGuinness, from Australia’s Cyber Security, said it wasn’t an attack. CrowdStrike fixed it and told admins on Slack.
CrowdStrike warned their customers. Fixing it might take time. People need to start their computers in “safe mode” and delete a file. Fixing many computers at once is hard.
Australia’s Cyber Security Centre will give more news soon. A group will meet to talk about the problem.
Home computers are safe. CrowdStrike’s Falcon software mostly helps big businesses and companies.
