An accountability court (AC) in the federal capital summoned former President Asif Ali Zardari and others involved in the Thatta Water Supply project on Wednesday.

However, Judge Muhammad Bashir of the Accountability Court heard the case and summoned the former president and others to appear before the Islamabad bureau on December 18.
After amending the National Accountability Law, an accountability court in the federal capital returned a corruption reference against former president and PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in January.
Verdict
Furthermore, after hearing arguments from both sides, accountability court Judge Rana Nasir Javed announced the reserved verdict.
Following amendments to the NAB laws, the judge stated that the corruption reference no longer fell under the jurisdiction of the accountability court.
Thatta Water Supply Case Suspects
However, it is worth noting that in the supplementary filed in connection with the Thatta water supply scam, the anti-graft body named Zardari, Ejaz Ahmed Khan, and 12 other suspects.
In the interim reference, the bureau did not nominate former president, but did nominate Ashfaq Leghari and Naudero House Incharge Nadeem Bhutto.
