Arshad Nadeem won Pakistan’s first Olympic gold in 40 years. He got a cash prize of Rs151 million from Punjab and Sindh. At the Paris Olympics, 27-year-old Arshad threw his javelin 92.97m. This was his second throw. It set an Olympic record. The old record was 90.57m, set in 2008.
