One of Iran’s top automakers, Saipa, known for creating licensed goods, has unveiled a new model with a crossover design. Although it goes by the name Saipa Atlas, the crossover is actually a better-looking variant of the Saiba Quick, and its foundations are from the 1986 Kia Pride.
The silhouette of the Quick and the Atlas is remarkably identical since the Atlas is a complete makeover of the Quick. But it has a whole new façade with angular LED headlights, a prominent grille with vertical slats, more dynamic lines on the bonnet, and intricate bumper intakes. A new rear bumper, a set of contemporary taillights, a cleaner tailgate design, and other updates have been made to the back.
The Atlas’s dimensions are unknown; however, they are most likely quite comparable to the footprint of the departing Quick, which is 3,989 mm long. Although the 14-inch alloy wheels concealed by the black wheel arch covering appear slightly smaller. The Atlas will be available in a wide range of hues and combinations, with vibrant accents on the bumpers and mirrors.
The 1.5L four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine is anticipated to be somewhat upgraded for the Atlas. The same engine, which generates 128 Nm of torque and 87 horsepower, is already installed in a number of Saipa vehicles. Both the CVT automatic and manual transmission choices provide power to the front wheels.
