An Air Services Agreement was inked by Pakistan and Saudi Arabia to expand their aviation sector cooperation and benefit their respective communities.
Aneeq Ahmed, the minister for religious affairs and interfaith harmony, and Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, the Saudi minister for Hajj and Umrah, witnessed the signing of the agreement on Monday in Islamabad.
Aneeq Ahmad afterwards declared at a joint news conference that the deal would soon provide fruitful outcomes, particularly for Pakistani pilgrims.

He acknowledged that the Saudi government provides the best services and facilities for the Hajj and Umra pilgrims and claimed that the Route to Makkah benefits Pakistani intended pilgrims.
More amenities for Pakistani pilgrims should be made available at Mina and Arafat, according to Aneeq Ahmed.
Additionally, he ordered that a new plot of land be made available for the construction of Pakistan House because the previous site had been turned into an extension of Haram.
He advocated for exempting Pakistani people over 65 from biometric requirements.
However, Speaking at the event, the Saudi Minister stated that the country is making every effort to reduce the cost of the Hajj.
Umrah Visa Duration
According to him, Pakistani Umrah pilgrims will now be able to visit historical places in the Kingdom in addition to doing Umrah, and their visas will be valid for 90 days.
Additionally, he promised that the deal would increase the number of flights between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
