On Thursday, nine people were killed and five were injured in road accidents in Upper Dir and Upper Kohistan.
According to media reports, a pickup truck plunged into a river in Kandia Valley, Upper Kohistan, killing four people and wounding three more.
A vehicle carrying seven passengers from Kamila Dasu to Jashui in Kandia Valley lost control and crashed into the stream, according to Rescue 1122.

Three persons, including the driver, were rescued by locals. Upper Kohistan Rescue 1122 official Abdul Rehman stated, “We have started a rescue and search operation for bodies of four passengers who have drowned and one of them was fished out.”
Similarly, a road accident in Doog Darra, Upper Dir, killed five people and injured two more.
According to local authorities, the vehicle crashed into a ditch near Chinar Khawar Darmdala while travelling from Doog Darra to Sheringal.
Four individuals were killed on the spot, including two little boys, and three others were seriously injured. Rescue 1122 transported the injured to DHQ.
These occurrences should serve as a warning to individuals planning to visit northern locations over the summer.
