Last week, an Al-Haj Proton customer reported a year-long delay in the delivery of his X70 SUV on a blog website.
The customer, who desired anonymity, also complained in writing to the Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Industries and Production (MoIP).
He also filed a lawsuit against Proton’s official dealership, alleging that it has not responded positively to customers experiencing the same problem.
Proton Angry Customers Complaints
More clients have contacted TechX Pakistan with a similar problem since last week. One of them mentioned that his reservation was for August 12, 2021.
He claimed that the booking was made two years ago and that he had full payment for the vehicle in December 2022. However, there has been no trace of delivery thus far.
Another consumer reported that the aforementioned issue is causing him considerable mental agony. He also stated that neither the corporation nor the dealership has provided any relief.
Several other people have also encountered problems with booking amount reimbursements.
According to one of the clients, his refund check bounced twice last year. If his cheque bounces again in late August 2023, he has promised to file a FIR against the corporation.
Proton Stance
Despite numerous people’s outrage, Al-Haj Proton has yet to publish a statement or remark on the topic. Customers have also urged that the government intervene in the matter. So far, the authorities have been silent on the subject.
