The Nova Audio H1 Audio Earrings are more than just jewellery. These are large pearl earrings disguised as earbuds.
Behind the pearls are two speakers that use directional sound to transmit audio directly into your ears.
The technology, according to Nova, allows you to hear your audio while remaining aware of your surroundings, similar to Sony’s LinkBuds or Aftershokz’s bone-conduction headphones.
They lack noise-cancellation capabilities, which would be beneficial for athletes or anyone who wants to be aware of their surroundings while listening to audio.
Although the earbuds are located outside your ears, their directional technology ensures that no one else can hear your music or phone calls.
With the four built-in microphones, the earrings can provide up to 3.5 hours of music playback or 2.5 hours of talk time.
The charging case, which is designed to resemble an elegant earring case, holds three full charges for a total of 14 hours of listening time.
A button on the earrings controls audio playback and phone calls. The earrings, however, weigh 7.7 grammes each and are not appropriate for those who are not used to wearing heavy jewellery.
For those looking for a combination of audio and fashion, Nova Audio’s audio earrings may be an interesting option.
Planet Beyond’s seashell-shaped in-ear buds that can be customised with accessories and earrings that can be hooked onto AirPods are two examples of brands that have attempted to combine earbuds and fashion.
The gold and silver earrings cost $753 and $645, respectively.
They are currently available in Europe, but Nova Audio intends to make them available in the United States and Japan at the beginning of this year. Buyers in Pakistan will almost certainly have to import them from elsewhere.
