Sub Inspector Aslam Hunjra, Station House Officer (SHO) Daulat Nagar, has been fired from his position for misrepresenting a male officer as a female officer, according to District Police Officer (DPO) Gujrat, Atta-ur-Rehman.
Details indicate that the Daulat Nagar Police had detained three individuals, among them a lady, for selling drugs and possessing weapons without a license. As per normal, the relevant Police Station’s social media pages posted a photo of the raiding squad and the people they had apprehended.
Social media users noticed that the ‘female cop’ in the photo was comparatively taller than the male policemen and that her veil was styled in an odd way for a female police officer.

Senior police authorities, including DPO Gujrat, were also alerted to the remarks made by the social media users. DPO Gujrat instructed DSP Gujrat Saddar Circle to investigate the validity of the statements made by the social media users.
SHO Daulat Nagar revealed to DSP Saddar after a brief investigation that he had instructed a male officer to pose as a female cop because the female officials had not returned from their security responsibilities for the by-elections that were held on Sunday.
The SHO instructed a male cop to cover up and comply with the rules, fully disregarding his height, because the presence of at least one female officer is required during raids, arrests, and picture sessions of female detainees.
SHO Daulat Nagar was sacked as a result when the plan flopped and embarrassed Punjab Police.
