Realme unveils its Low-Cost GT2 flagship phone across the globe

Realme, like many other businesses, unveiled its current flagship duo, the GT2 and GT2 Pro, during this year’s Mobile World Congress (MWC).

The Realme GT2 and Realme GT2 Pro were first launched in China in January by the Chinese manufacturer. Both smartphones have now been released in the global market by the corporation.

We’ll go through the spec sheet for this newly released duo down below.

Design & Display

The Realme GT2 has a 6.62-inch AMOLED Full HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1300 nits of peak brightness, and a 20:9 aspect ratio. The display is additionally protected by Gorilla Glass 5.

For biometrics and authentication, the smartphone uses an optical under-display fingerprint reader.

Paper White, Paper Green, Steel Black, and Titanium Blue are the colors available for the Realme GT.

Storage and Hardware

The smartphone is equipped with a Snapdragon 888 CPU and 8/12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM, as well as 128/256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

On the software front, the Realme GT2 comes preloaded with Realme UI 3.0 and Android 12 out of the box, with 3 years of OS updates and 4 years of Android security patches assured.

Cameras

The device has a triple-camera setup on the back panel for photography. It has a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 primary sensor, as well as an 8-megapixel ultrawide and a 2-megapixel macro lens. There’s also a 16MP selfie camera on the front.

Battery & Availability

The GT2 has a big 5,000mAh battery with 65W fast charging capabilities. According to the ads, the battery can be charged to 100% in just 33 minutes.

The smartphone will be available for purchase starting March 15 at an early bird pricing of €449 ($503) for the 8/128GB variant and €599 ($671) for the 12/256GB variant.
