Punjab police wants to ban pubg for the second time

In Pakistan, it looks that PUBG is unable to avoid controversy and again going towards ban. After an 18-year-old (Zain Ali) allegedly killed his entire family after being instructed to stop playing the game, the popular battle royale game received backlash.

However, some media claim that the incident occurred as a result of the boy’s drug addiction, and that PUBG was merely used as a scapegoat because Zain used to play the famous video game.

As one might assume, this did not sit well with many people. Tanveer Sarwar, a citizen, filed a plea to permanently ban PUBG, but the Lahore High Court dismissed it because Tanveer and his counsel failed to appear at the court hearing.

However, the Punjab Police is now on the video game’s tail. The police department has filed an official complaint against PUBG, requesting that federal authorities put the ban on the game.

The official complaint was made following a conference presided over by Punjab Police Inspector General Rao Sardar Ali Khan. Several senior police officers were present at the meeting, and the official complaint was finalized following a unanimous decision by the officers.

It remains to be seen if the court will accept the official complaint.
