On the internet, the hatchback is referred to as the X10, which is appropriate for the possibly smallest Proton ever.

The two-door, four-seater Geely Panda Mini competes directly with Chery QQ Ice Cream, Pocco Duoduo and Meimei, Jiayuan Komi, and Wuling Mini and Air.

These electric vehicles have small batteries, low-power motors, and slow top speeds. The range is 150-200 km, and the motors produce 40-50 horsepower, allowing for top speeds of up to 100 km/h.

Malaysia lacks a dense charging network, which is a concern for most markets due to the small battery and short range.

Nonetheless, several Chinese companies export small electric vehicles to international markets. According to paultan.org, Wuling sells 700 units per month in Indonesia, which is a sizable figure.

The arrival of the small EV in Malaysia could also signal its expansion into markets such as Pakistan, where it already operates.
