A preliminary no-objection certificate (NOC) for the second iteration of the Kashmir Premier League (KPL) has been awarded by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
The KPL’s second season will begin in Muzaffarabad the following month as the NOC has been granted for the dates of August 1 through August 25, 2022. The league’s final schedule is anticipated in the upcoming days.
Sources claim that the KPL management handled certain outstanding issues and consented to the requirements set forth by the Pakistan Cricket Board before issuing the NOC.
Instead of six clubs, the league will have seven in the following season. As the seventh team, Jammu Janbaz will join Rawalakot Hawks, Muzaffarabad Tigers, Mirpur Royals, Overseas Warriors, Bagh Stallions, and Kotli Lions in the tournament.
After the Eid-ul-Azha holidays, the second season’s player draught will take place. The Rawalakot Hawks will defend their championship the next year
At the KPL headquarters in Islamabad on Saturday for the second season, the seven franchises met with the management of the league.
To discuss several crucial topics relating to the league’s second season, all franchise owners showed up to the meeting.
It is important to note that the league’s management just paid the franchise players’ debts for the initial season.
The management also paid all of the players’ prizes and awards during the inaugural season.
