MediaTek has been the first business to demonstrate Wi-Fi 7, proving the technology’s super-fast speed and low latency transmission while showcasing the possibilities of its future Filogic Wi-Fi 7 connection range.
The corporation claims to have spent a long time developing the future standard devices and has presented the latest technology to its partners and key clients. The new standard appears to be a significant improvement over edition 6, since it can deliver 2.4 times quicker rates.
According to the Wi-Fi Alliance, it will be able to reach a throughput of 30Gbps on 802.11be bandwidth, which is significantly faster than edition 6.
The new wireless communication standard will support 320MHz channels, 4K quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM), and multi-user resource unit (MRU) while staying compatible with current 2.4GHz, 5GHz, and 6GHz frequencies.
MediaTek is a global semiconductor business that connects billions of devices each year, and its Wi-Fi 6 chipsets enable the most cutting-edge networking equipment for faster connectivity.
The first gadgets with Wi-Fi 7 functionality will be available by 2023, according to the company. The devices will, however, be based on a draught specification because the standard will not be certified by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) until 2024.
