Kashmir Solidarity Day is observed today to express Pakistan’s full support for the just struggle of the Kashmiri people for their inalienable right to self-determination under UN resolutions.

According to a press release issued by the Ministry of Kashmir Affairs, all appropriate arrangements have been made to commemorate Kashmir Solidarity Day today at home and abroad.

It stated that solidarity walks will be held throughout the country, including Azad Jammu and Kashmir. A rally to express solidarity with the Kashmiri people will take place on Constitution Avenue in Islamabad.

A one-minute silence will be observed at 09:30 a.m. to honour the Kashmir martyrs.

To highlight the plight of Kashmiris, posters and billboards have been placed in strategic locations such as airports, railway stations, and major cities.

In honour of the day, debate and declamation contests, as well as essay writing competitions, are being held in educational institutions.

Radio Pakistan is broadcasting a special programme in solidarity with the oppressed Kashmiris of India’s illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
