In accordance with the Ministry of Energy‘s directives, the NTDC has completed all necessary preparations to ensure continuous electricity supply during the upcoming Eid ul Fitr festivities.

A spokesperson for the company announced on Monday that a central control room has been set to ensure close communication with the National Power Control Centre and all distribution companies.

These control facilities will be operational 24 hours a day during the Eid ul Fitr holidays, to effectively monitor and manage the power distribution network.

Additionally, regional control rooms have been built in Islamabad, Multan, and Hyderabad to respond quickly to any emergency situations that may occur.

These control rooms will be linked via video to allow for smooth communication and coordination.

It’s important to note that these control rooms have been operational throughout Ramadan, to make sure the power grid is constantly tracked and managed.

In preparation for Eid ul Fitr, specialised teams from the Asset Management (North) and (South) sections have been established to respond quickly to any issues that occur at NTDC grid stations or transmission lines throughout the country.

During the Eid holidays, designated officers will be based at the grid stations to ensure that any issues that arise are resolved ASAP.

Engr. Dr. Rana Abdul Jabbar Khan, M.D of NTDC, has directed all relevant NTDC formations to remain vigilant and ensure a smooth power supply throughout the country during the Eid ul Fitr celebrations.
