Cashback on payments is now available with WhatsApp Pay, try it now!

WhatsApp‘s integrated payment platform was introduced years ago, but it hasn’t gained the traction that other UPI-based systems like Google Pay, Paytm, and PhonePe have.

WhatsApp is now using one of Google Pay’s old techniques – cashbacks – to attract new users to its payment feature. WhatsApp Pay is running a new campaign that will reward users with Rs 11 up to three times if they pay or receive money using the platform.

There is no minimum transaction value, however customers who want to receive several incentives must transact with at least three distinct people.

The criteria for receiving the cashback have been laid out by WhatsApp. When donating money to an eligible recipient, users must see a promotion banner within the app or a gift icon.

They needed to have used WhatsApp for at least 30 days. According to the company, WhatsApp Business is not qualified for this promotion.

Furthermore, in order for cashback to operate, the contact you’re sending money to must be a WhatsApp user who has registered for payments on WhatsApp in India.

In just a few easy steps, you can collect cashback via WhatsApp Pay.

Step 1: Create a WhatsApp Pay account.

Users can set up WhatsApp Pay by updating their app to the newest version, going to any personal chat, and clicking on the Rupee symbol next to the attachment icon at the bottom.

Users will be directed to the WhatsApp Pay page as a result of this.

Users can then select a bank account to connect by clicking ‘Accept and continue’ on the next page.

It’s important to note that this bank account’s registered mobile number must be your WhatsApp number. To set up your UPI-based WhatsApp Pay account, follow the procedures below.

Step 2: Invite a few people.

To transact with someone via WhatsApp Pay, they must also be using the app. Once your WhatsApp Pay account is set up, you may invite any contact to utilise the platform by navigating to their chat box. Invite your friends, family, and other connections to join you on the platform.

You can send and receive money directly from them via WhatsApp Pay once they’ve been set up.

Step 3: Verify that you are eligible for cashback and complete three transactions.

This is when things get a little complicated. The cashbacks have not yet been made available to everyone on WhatsApp.

Even those who do receive the payback banner are only eligible for a limited period of time.

If you’re eligible, you’ll see a banner stating that you’re eligible for cashbacks. If you don’t, you won’t be able to get the Rs 11 by transacting with other users.
