AGM Mobile is a rugged phone manufacturer based in Europe that has been producing robust cellphones since 2008. The AGM H5, the world’s first rugged phone running Android 12, was just unveiled as the brand’s newest and greatest handset.

Design and Display

To begin with, the device is protected by IP68, IP69K, and MIL-STD-810H certifications, making it drop-proof, dust-proof, and waterproof. In summary, you can throw practically anything at this phone and it will survive. It also has the world’s loudest smartphone speaker, with a decibel rating of 109.

A 6.52-inch LCD panel with 720p resolution and a waterdrop notch selfie camera is featured on the display. The side key can be set to quickly launch the camera, torch, or press the chat button (PTT). The fingerprint sensor is located on the back of the phone, just below the massive loudspeaker.

Internals and Storage

The AGM H5 is powered by MediaTek’s mid-range Helio G35 SoC, which comes in memory variants of 4GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB.

The software, on the other hand, is the phone’s standout feature. Rugged phones typically ship with obsolete Android versions, but this one comes pre-installed with Android 12.

Cameras

A 48MP primary shooter with an unidentified Samsung sensor is included in the main camera configuration. This is complemented by a 20MP infrared night vision camera and a 2MP macro sensor. The selfie camera uses an unidentified Sony 20MP sensor.

Battery and Pricing

This phone also contains one of the largest battery cells found in a smartphone. It has a large 7,000 mAh power capacity with 15W wired charging and 10W dock charging compatibility.

Despite being one of the roughest phones on the market, the AGM H5 has a starting price of $269.
