Youtube has a brand-new design and improved controls

YouTube‘s design has altered more gradually than you may expect, despite its growth and evolution. The website is currently introducing the biggest revamp in recent memory, with a fresh appearance that alters dynamically with each video.

The online version of YouTube as well as the mobile applications will both get a complete revamp, as Google has revealed. However, if you often use the web version, you may already be familiar with it since it has been gradually rolled out over the previous several weeks. However, it is now being made available to everyone.

The focus of this new design is on colors. Action elements like the subscribe button and the share button now appear to be floating pills as it takes colors from the movie you’re viewing and applies them to the app’s UI. This tweak mostly affects the app’s dark mode, while the bright mode will also use more colors and be rather attractive on its own.

With this revamp, YouTube is also introducing a few mobile features. The first one, pinch-to-zoom, enables you to zoom into films and examine particulars more carefully. The second, precision seeking, enables you to search through videos and examine specific frames as you search. Pinch-to-zoom was already a YouTube Premium feature.

Keep a watch out for an app update coming soon to your smartphone as these improvements will start rolling out to everyone starting today. Since the Premium subscription is now more expensive, it’s a good thing that it looks nicer.
