The Poco M5 was a 4G phone in all of its variants, including the M5s. However, Himanshu Tandon, the Country Head of Poco and Xiaomi, confirmed that the upcoming Poco M6 will support 5G.

Notably, the M5 was an outlier in the series, as both the M3 and M4 lineups included 5G models. While the specific chipset that will provide next-generation connectivity remains unknown at this time.
More specifics about the Poco M6 will be revealed closer to the launch date. At the moment, it’s clear that the phone has a dual camera setup on a flat camera island, which looks more like the M4’s design than the M5’s raised visor-style island.
Previously, the Poco M4 5G was released in India in early 2022, with a price tag of around $150 for the 4/64GB variant and was available online. The Poco M5, on the other hand, was released later in 2022 and costs $152 for the 4/64GB model.
Given that the M-series is aimed at affordability, sitting below the X mid-rangers and F flagships, the upcoming Poco M6 is expected to fall into the same price range.
Furthermore, given how popular Poco phones are in Pakistan, it is highly likely that the Poco M6 series will be released in the country as well.
