Xiaomi 13 series phones will have multiple 50MP cameras

Xiaomi is working on the next generation of its flagship smartphone, the Xiaomi 13 series, which is set to launch in November. The series is expected to have multiple 50 megapixel (MP) cameras, according to tipper Digital Chat Station.

The Xiaomi 12 has a 50-megapixel primary camera, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 5-megapixel telephoto macro camera, whereas the Xiaomi 12 Pro has a 50-megapixel primary camera, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide snapper, and a 50-megapixel telephoto camera.

According to Digital Chat Station, the Xiaomi 13 series will include one model with a 50-megapixel + 50-megapixel dual-camera setup and another with a 50-megapixel + 50-megapixel + 50-megapixel triple camera unit.

The Pro model will most likely have upgraded main and telephoto cameras, while the tipster also mentioned another 13 series phone, which appears to be the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, which will have upgraded camera modules and sensors.

According to some reports, the 13 series will have a 6.36-inch 120Hz AMOLED display with curved edges, while the 13 Pro will have a 6.7-inch Samsung E6 AMOLED display with curved edges. The smartphone will have a resolution of up to 2K and a refresh rate of 120Hz.

Both devices are expected to use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, and the series will include a single battery capable of 100W charging and 50W wireless charging. However, it is unclear whether the series will include a model to replace the Xiaomi 12X.
