Xiaomi 12 alongside the 12X and 12 Pro are the most anticipated smartphones right now, at the end of this year. The phones are launching in China on December 28, but for quite some time, details regarding the phones have been popping out on the web, including renders, specifications and more.
The Xiaomi 12 could be a compact flagship phone from the company, with a 6.28-inch display with a punch-hole camera at the top. Now, popular tipster Abhishek Yadav has revealed that the phone will also come with the latest MIUI 13 out of the box. MIUI 13, the latest version of the custom skin from Xiaomi is set to be revealed alongside the Xiaomi 12.

MIUI 13 Features
MIUI 13 is the next big incremental update to Xiaomi’s own skin on top of Android and the update is expected to focus heavily on the smoothness and fluency. As per the latest information available right now, MIUI 13 would offer a 15% to 52% boost in system fluency. Xiaomi also aims to reduce the frame drop rate by 90% with MIUI 13 and it will also bring Focus Computing 2.0, liquid storage, and atomic memory, offering in faster read and write speeds. Privacy Security Goalkeeper is another new feature that will arrive with MIUI 13. It will protect users from telecom fraud.
What do users expect?
Interestingly, Xiaomi’s CEO Lei Jun conducted a poll on Chinese microblogging site Weibo asking users what features they want in MIUI 13 and a majority of users seem to emphasise the fact that the new MIUI 13 should be free from bugs. Xiaomi phones and their earlier MIUI versions have always been ridiculed because of random bugs and it looks like users want Xiaomi to improve its software to the best possible level.

Xiaomi 12 Expected Specifications
As far as what we know so far regarding the Xiaomi 12, the phone will come with an AMOLED display that can go as bright as 1600 nits. The phone may be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, paired with 8GB or 12GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB onboard storage. The phone would carry a triple camera setup on the back consisting of a 50-megapixel primary sensor with OIS support alongside a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and a telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and OIS.
The phone will pack a 4500mAh battery with support for up to 67W wired fast charging and 30W wireless fast charging. More details regarding the battery and charging can be found here.
