The Vivo V30’s official launch marks the start of its global rollout across various international markets. This phone features a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset and a large battery.
Notably, it shares the physical design of the Vivo S18, but what distinguishes it is a significant camera upgrade.
Design and Display
On the front, the Vivo V30 has a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 1260p resolution and a peak brightness of 2,800 nits. It also features a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ content, and a fingerprint sensor beneath the screen.
Internals & Software
This Vivo phone is powered by a Qualcomm chipset built on the 4 nm process, which includes a 2.63 GHz octa-core CPU and an Adreno 720 GPU.
The Vivo V30 is available in four storage configurations: 8 GB/128 GB, 8 GB/256 GB, 12 GB/256 GB, and 12 GB/512 GB.
In terms of software, it boots the most recent Android 14 operating system, with Funtouch OS 14 on top. Vivo has promised software support for at least four years.
Cameras
The Vivo V30 proudly claims to be the first global smartphone to include the 50MP OmniVision OV50E sensor, a significant advancement in mobile photography. This 1/1.55-inch sensor serves as the device’s main camera.
It is complemented by another 50MP sensor with autofocus for the ultra-wide-angle lens, resulting in high-quality wide-angle shots. Notably, the front camera has a formidable 50 MP sensor with autofocus, ensuring excellent selfie quality.
Battery and Pricing
One of the most notable improvements made by the Vivo V30 over its predecessor is its larger 5,000 mAh battery.
This power source is compatible with 80W FlashCharge technology, making the V30 the thinnest phone in the Vivo lineup to house such a large battery, measuring only 7.5 mm at the base.
Pricing and availability will be announced later this month, but the colour options are Bloom White, Waving Aqua, Lush Green, and Noble Black, each with a unique pattern on the back.
