FunTouch OS 12 Update Release Date

Vivo has announced that it will start rolling out the updates of FunTouch OS 12 from the end of November 2021. The company has confirmed that its latest flagship smartphone, the Vivo X70 Pro+, will get the first FunTouch OS 12 at the end of November this year. Vivo also announced that this rollout will continue till the end of April 2022. The majority of the Vivo devices will receive the FunTouch OS 12 update in Q2, 2022.

Vivo has revealed that its UI will get a new makeover in FunTouch OS 12. The new update brings a new user interface design and more customisable options.

Small Widgets

To get more information on the home screen, Vivo will be introducing small widgets in the FunTouch OS 12 so that one can fit more widgets into the homepage and get more info at a glance. Vivo also will be adding new widgets to its Android-based custom skin.

Extended RAM

Extended RAM is the marketing term Vivo uses for Virtual RAM. The FunTouch OS 12 allows Vivo phones to increase their RAM space by up to 4GB of RAM so that one can enjoy a seamless experience. It allocates some part of the ROM storage to the RAM and hence increases RAM.

Nano Music Player

FunTouch OS 12 will have a nano music player on the homepage through which one will be able to control their music playback easily. It will be a sort of widget on the homepage through which one will be able to control their Spotify or JOOX playlist.
