On Tuesday, U.S. President Joe Biden said it is too soon to know whether artificial intelligence is hazardous, but he emphasized that technology companies must make sure their products are secure before releasing them to the public.
While AI could aid in combating disease and climate change, he stressed to his science and technology advisers that there were also concerns to be aware of.

He made this statement at the beginning of a meeting of the President’s Council of Advisers on Science and Technology at the White House. “Tech businesses have a responsibility to make sure their products are safe before making them public,” he stated. He replied, “It remains to be seen whether AI is dangerous. It could be.”
