The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) has requested a detailed strategy for electric motorcycles (E-Bikes) from the Ministry of Industries and Production. An EV bike is anticipated to cost around Rs. 170,000.
According to the specifics, the federal Cabinet was briefed by the Ministry of Industries and Production on Wednesday about the widespread use of electric bikes (E-Bikes) around the nation.
According to sources, the proposed EV Bike program has been informed of three alternative subsidy options.
An EV bike would cost approximately Rs. 170,000, which would include the government’s down payment, the customer’s down payment, a loan from a commercial bank, and interest rates.
According to sources, the government intends to provide a three-year subsidy of approximately Rs. 15 billion for 175,000 electric bikes.
The Ministry has also suggested qualifying requirements, which include students with salary parents as well as government or private sector salaried/self-employed people having NTN & Bank Accounts, in order to get subsidies for electric motorcycles.
There will also be quotes from transgender people and female students and workers.
Electric motorcycles are also available to government/Armed Forces pensioners as well as Imam Masjid/Hafiz Quran/Muazzam who have earned a valid degree from a Pakistani institution approved by the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

Additionally, the Federal government has authorized 22 businesses to produce electric bikes (E-Bikes) in Pakistan.
