The Federal Tax Authority (FTA) has started the “Muwafaq Package” project, which intends to make it easier for small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) to conduct business and comply with tax laws by providing them with a range of special services, benefits, and incentives.
The project, initiated by the UAE government to carry out the orders of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, is a component of the FTA’s strategy to support the Government Accelerators Initiative.
The project intends to accomplish significant and quick transformational projects that are focused on creating the best and most dynamic economy in the world, leading to significant changes in the economy and in many other sectors of government work.
The Muwafaq Package
The Muwafaq Package is accessible to SMEs registered in the UAE tax system through the digital tax services platform EmaraTax, according to a press release released by the FTA today.
The Package provides both teaching materials regarding tax systems and cutting-edge tax solutions for SMEs registered in the tax system.
It was expressly created for SMEs and intended to give the people behind these initiatives the tools they need to be the engine that drives the country’s economy, encouraging entrepreneurship and innovation.
The launch of the Muwafaq Package, according to FTA Director-General Khalid Ali Al Bustani, aims to support young people working in the small- and medium-sized business sector.
The effort is in keeping with the wise leadership’s recommendations to encourage youth empowerment and give them the tools they need to participate in a variety of sectors, including the economy.
By taking part in FTA’s training courses on the fundamentals of tax laws, Businesses can gain access to the Muwafaq Package’s various benefits.
Since that SMEs make up the majority of businesses operating in the UAE, these programs will increase their understanding of and assist them in complying with tax laws.
The Authority prioritizes this crucial industry in its awareness campaigns while also staying in touch with other sectors.
The Muwafaq Package gives users a number of benefits and incentives to promote tax compliance, such as affordable access to tax accounting software and programs, same-day meetings with tax relationship managers, special deals on Tax Agent services, and preference for registered SME representatives when utilizing certain Federal Tax Authority services.
The Package also enables the FTA to identify potential issues for the industry, create ways to deal with and overcome them, and give registrants specialized information on tax laws in an effort to promote self-compliance.
Businesses will also receive other benefits, which will be announced later.
In order to promote self-compliance and uphold the highest standards of governance and transparency, the FTA aspires to create the optimum tax environment.
Given the crucial role that entrepreneurs and SMEs play in the success of programmes to diversify sources of income as well as initiatives to develop and upskill national human resources, the Authority also aspires to contribute to government efforts to support these groups.
The Authority anticipates that the implementation of the Muwafaq Package would increase the level of tax knowledge among the individuals in charge of these businesses and deliver proactive services to this significant portion of the clientele.
