He urged residents in the affected areas to remain vigilant. The cyclone, named after Bangladesh and meaning “destruction,” is expected to make landfall in the Indian state of Gujarat on Thursday. Authorities in both India and Pakistan are preparing to evacuate low-lying areas.

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) stated that because the cyclone is forming in the Arabian Sea, it will not affect the Emirates.

Dr. Al Neyadi emphasized the ISS’s unique perspective in observing natural phenomena and how it can help experts on Earth with weather monitoring.
