Starting on Friday, August 4, passengers can take a ferry between Dubai and Sharjah for as little as Dh15. The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced the resumption of the Dubai Ferry service, which will operate seven days a week.

Ferry trip between Dubai and Sharjah

This service was launched in 2019, but it was temporarily halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The ferry will transport passengers in 35 minutes between Dubai and Sharjah.

From Monday to Thursday, there are eight ferry trips per day. There are two morning trips from Sharjah at 7 a.m. and 8:30 a.m., and two evening trips at 4:45 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. There is one morning trip from Dubai at 7:45 a.m. and three evening trips at 4 p.m., 5:30 p.m., and 7 p.m.

There will be six trips per day from Friday to Sunday. The ferry leaves Sharjah at 2 p.m., 4 p.m., and 6 p.m. The vessel leaves Dubai at 3 p.m., 5 p.m., and 8 p.m.

Silver Class tickets are Dh15, Gold Class tickets are Dh25, and People of Determination and children under the age of five are free.

You have two options for purchasing tickets. You can book tickets in advance online at marine.rta.ae and pay with a credit or debit card.

Alternatively, you can purchase tickets and pay with your nol card at the service counters in the marine stations. This new vessel service connects Dubai and Sharjah in a cost-effective and convenient manner.
