TikTok and ed-tech company Edkasa are working with the Sindh Education Foundation (SEF) to expand the #ExamReady scholarship program to more than 10,000 meritorious students in the province as part of an effort to digitize education.
In early 2022, TikTok, Edkasa, and the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) launched #ExamReady, a groundbreaking STEM-focused digital learning project, to support online education and distance learning for high school students, according to a statement from the social media platform.
The #ExamReady scholarship programme, which will provide online study scholarships to 18,000 deserving students from all around Pakistan, was also addressed. It was introduced earlier this year.
Tiktok will contribute to literacy rate through providing scholarships
The growth of high-quality education in Sindh’s underprivileged areas would be assisted by the partnership with the Sindh Education Foundation. Students in grades IX through XII of Sindh’s post-primary system are eligible for the scholarships.
The #ExamReady effort, which aimed to assist millions of Pakistani students, made over 500 instructional videos on chemistry, physics, and math available online.
These included study techniques and exam cheats. Since its release, Pakistani students have viewed the instructive films over 558 million times on TikTok, with about 114,000 video submissions.
